It increases it by 15 percent! This brings the estimated fuel economy of the 300 to an impressive 19 mpg city/31 mpg highway. Another reason why the 2012 Chrysler 300 is worth the investment: The American automaker plans to add all-wheel drive as an option to drivers for enhanced safety in the toughest weather.

Currently, Chrysler is licensing the new eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF Friedrichshafen AG, which also produces eight-speeds for a suite of German and English luxury brands. It goes without saying that this is not a cheap investment for the American automaker, so the slight increase in price is a bit justified, especially when you consider how much money you'll save in the long run on gas.
