The Dodge Viper took a bit of a rest last year while engineers toiled away at redesigning and perfecting the car for the 2013 model year. That's right, premiering at the New York Auto Show in April: The 2013 Dodge Viper. And, get ready. It sure is something to behold.

Does Gillie Hyde Auto Group think it was worth the wait? Absolutely. Have we enjoyed the wait? Absolutely not. But, we're super-psyched to see it make a powerful return. Dodge has been keeping the 2013 Viper's specs tightly under wraps, but you can bet rumors are already swirling about the suspected engine. For example, one rumor suggested that we'll find a direct-injection 8.4-liter V10 that would deliver and unbelievable 700 horses of power. Others say the engine won't be quite that fierce, it's more likely that the V8 heart of the Viper will deliver 500 horsepower.

Not that the specifics are that important, after all, it's a Dodge Viper. You wouldn't expect anything less than an engine capable of breathtaking speeds, would you? We didn't think so.
