Today's trucks are so good looking, powerful and rugged, it's hard to figure out which is best. Well, for the Ford F-150, the Ram 1500, the GMC Sierra 1500 and the Toyota Tundra, we're going to give you the lowdown with a Full-Size Truck Mow-Down Showdown Hoedown. Here, we compare what most truck buyers feel are the most important truck features and tell you who survives the battle to be the best.

2019 Pickup Showdown: Maximum Payload Capacity

Maximum payload capacity is one of the top essential features that truck buyers first check out. And while all four of these contenders are competent only two of them rise to the top.

The 2019 Toyota Tundra is a distant fourth place at a weak 1,730 in max payload capacity. It looks like Toyota forgot just how important this is.

Third place goes to the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, hauling a respectable 2,290 pounds at its maximum.

However, the 2019 Ram 1500 edges out the Chevy Silverado, winning a second-place spot at 2,320 pounds of payload capacity.

And at number one with a competition-crushing 3,200 pounds of payload capacity is the 2019 Ford F-150.

2019 Pickup Showdown: Maximum Towing Capacity

Do more towing than hauling? Or maybe more of both? These are the trucks with the best and worst max towing capacities.

As before, the 2019 Toyota Tundra pulls up the rear with 10,200 pounds of maximum towing capacity.

Chevy Silverado 1500 takes third with a big leap over Toyota at an even 12,000 pounds of max towing capacity.

The 2019 Ram 1500 rises to second place with 12,750 pounds of towing capacity, beating the Chevy by a full 750 pounds.

And, again, at the top of the heap, the 2019 Ford F-150 wins first place with 13,200 pounds of towing capacity.

2019 Pickup Showdown: Cabin Space

Plenty of interior cabin space is a must for today's truck buyer. There's nothing like buying a powerful pickup truck only to be squeezed into a cramped cabin for triggering buyer's remorse.

The Toyota Tundra has the least amount of front shoulder room, 65.7 inches.

Both Chevrolet and Ram tie for second with their 1500s at 66.0 inches of front shoulder room.

And once again, the Ford F-150 wins at 66.7 inches of front shoulder room.

Front hip room is another important measure for American truck buyers. Here, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is decidedly last, notching only 61.2 inches of front hip room. The Toyota Tundra and the Ford F-150 are a virtual tie for second place at 62.6 and 62.5 inches, respectively. And the 2019 Ram 1500 comes in first with 63.4 inches of front hip room.

When it comes to cabin space, you won't be shoulder-to-shoulder with your passengers in either the 2019 Ford F-150 or the Ram 1500--so go ahead and spread out!
