In 2019, Ford returned to the mid-sized pickup truck market with the all-new Ford Ranger. They have taken the legacy truck to a new level with the new design. We all recognize that Ford knows a thing or two about trucks, so it is exciting to see them back in the game.

Fortunately, at
Gillie Hyde Auto Group in Glasgow, Kentucky, we get to show off both these
incredible, all-new mid-size pickup trucks.Â
The All-New Ford Ranger: Best in Class Performance
First up, the all-new Ford Ranger. ÂFord has really hit
a home run by reintroducing the Ford Ranger, Even though the name is the same,
the truck itself is a total redesign from top to bottom. Â
The Ranger displays
Best in Class performance where it counts. With its 2.3L turbocharged
4-cylinder EcoBoost engine, Ranger achieves Best in Class torque of 310 lb-ft,
Best in Class EPA MPG ratings of 21 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway,
and Best in Class maximum towing capacity of 1860 pounds. Ford was not kidding
around when they design this totally amazing mid-size pickup. Â
To round out the
information above, Ranger's incredible 2.3L 4-cylinder engine generates a fiery
270 horsepower and can tow up to 7,500 pounds. Â
And with its fully
boxed, high-strength steel frame, double A-arm independent front suspension and
parabolic leaf springs in the rear, this Ranger can do off-road as well as
on-road.Â
The All-New Jeep Gladiator Climbs Every Mountain, Fords Every Stream
Jeep's 2020 entry into the mid-size pickup truck market, the Gladiator, is geared more to bring the Jeep brand DNA into a market where it has never appeared. ÂNow, the tried and
true 3.6 Pentastar V6 does not have any Best in Class numbers, like the Ranger,
it still produces a very respectable 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It
does top the Ford Ranger by being able to tow 7,650 pounds. Â
The 2020 Jeep
Gladiator like Jeeps of old, has an appetite for off-road romps and is built
tough to take on these types of adventures. Â
This new Gladiator
can cross streams of up to a 30 inch depth. For going over obstacles without
those obstacles damaging your Jeep, Gladiator boasts 11.1 inches of ground
clearance. And for added protection, high strength steel skid plates protect
the most vulnerable parts underneath, the transfer case and the fuel tank, when
the going gets tough. For additional durability, Jeep Gladiator uses Solid
front and rear axles, Dana 44. They're thicker, tougher and stronger than
competitors' axles. Â
And, if the going
gets too tough, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator has heavy-duty front and rear to hooks
for getting pulled from the mud, or any other scenario you get stuck in. Â
