When Ford introduced the Bronco in 1966, this first-of-its-kind automobile blazed a trail into the great outdoors. Despite the SUV craze it sparked, Bronco production ceased 30 years later…until now. You read that right: The Ford Bronco is finally coming back, a revival SUV enthusiasts have waited for since Ford announced it at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. Strapped with thrilling power and go-anywhere capability, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco can be driven by adventurers when it makes its world premiere July 9, 2020.

At Gillie Hyde Auto Group in Glasgow, KY, we're pumped for the Bronco's return to Ford's lineup. Learn more below and visit for the 2021 Ford Bronco's arrival!

The New 2021 Ford Bronco's Powerful Performance

The 2021 Ford Bronco packs a punch. It will have two engine options: a 2.3-liter inline-four EcoBoost and a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6. The V6 will provide an estimated 330 horsepower and nearly 400 lb-ft of torque. While the EcoBoost provides approximately 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, it provides fuel-efficiency wherever you roam.

Both engines will be backed by Ford and GM's co-developed 10-speed automatic transmission. A robust manual transmission-including a "crawler" gear for hardcore off-roading-is also rumored to be in the works. A hybrid powertrain might be a possibility down the road as well. Stayed tuned for more updates at Gillie Hyde Auto Group.

Conquer Unknown Roads in Glasgow, KY with the 2021 Ford Bronco

Earlier this year, Ford gave us a sneak peek of the Bronco's ability to thrive in the roughest terrain, proving its status as an off-roader's dream machine. Experts drove the latest Bronco prototype out to the Mojave Desert's brutal Johnson Valley to test the SUV's powertrain and flexible body-on-frame chassis, perfect for navigating uneven ground.

This off-roading test pushed the Bronco to its limits in grueling conditions, crawling up rocks and racing across sand-exactly the kind of activity the Bronco was built for. In this rugged SUV, you'll be able to follow the call of the wild to your heart's content.

The New 2021 Ford Bronco is the King of Customization

While the 2021 Ford Bronco is going to maintain its iconic retro look, it might be the closest thing to a Transformer the world has ever seen. You'll be able to remove all the doors on both the two- and four-door models, and patents filed by Ford suggest that you won't even need tools to do it, due to a unique latching and restraint system. The roof will be removable as well and the Bronco could substitute a roll-out mesh roof or soft top for the hardtop once it's removed. Mesh top or hardtop, there's a configuration fit for every adventure in Glasgow, KY!
